A few tips once playing:
1) If it's dark, press F4 to use a Torch. Torches are not infinite. You can buy more of them from a potion shop or find them in chests or from monsters.
2) F2 is the hotkey to use a Healing Potion and F3 is the hotkey to use a Mana Potion. Don't waste them!
3) Pressing F1 at any time will bring up the help menu. This has instructions on basic game mechanics, how to use all menus, as well as lots of useful advice and a few beginner quests.
