Your character in The 4th Coming is composed of a variety Stats. Certain Stats are viewable either on the Status Bar at the top-right corner of the screen, or on the Character Sheet by hitting a combination of the 'CTRL' and the 'S' keys on your keyboard.
Status Bar

1) The Level of your character.
2) The Name of your character.
3) This bar displays your character's HP (Health Points). Upon losing all health, your character dies. Dying means that you drop Items, lose Experience Points, and return to your Binding Stone.
4) This bar displays your character's MP (Mana Points). Most spells have a Mana Point cost; if you do not have enough Mana Points, you will be unable to cast certain Spells.
5) This bar displays your character's XP (Experience Points). When it fills up completely, your character's Level will increase. Upon reaching a new Level, you will gain 5 Stat Points, and 15 Skill Points to spend. |

The following Stats may be viewed by hitting a combination of the 'Ctrl' and the 'S' keys on your keyboard:
*Please note: Stats displayed in green or red are boosted or lowered by either a spell or piece of equipment. Only base values are used when trying to equip Items. Right-clicking a Stat will display its base value.
1) STR (Strength): This Stat increases the base damage that your character does to monsters and other characters. STR also has a positive correlation with the ENC Stat.
2) END (Endurance): This Stat increases the amount of HP that you earn upon reaching a new Level.
3) AGI (Agility): This Stat increases your dexterity and general numbleness.
4) WIS (Wisdom): This Stat increases the amount of MP that you earn upon reaching a new Level. It is also plays a major role in the formulae for certain Elemental Spells.
5) INT (Intellect): This Stat increases the amount of MP that you earn upon reaching a new Level. It is also plays a major role in the formulae for certain Elemental Spells.
6) AC (Armor Class): This Stat is the determining factor in how much damage your character takes every physical hit. As this value increases, damage done to you decreases.
7) Level: This Stat increases as you gain enough EXP. Every time you Level, the required EXP to Level again is increased.
8) HP (Health Points): The amount of damage a character can withstand before you are killed.
9) MP (Mana Points): The allotment of how many times a character can cast spells. If you do not have enough Mana Points, you will be unable to cast certain Spells.
10) ENC (Encumbrance): This Stat is the determining factor in how many Items you may hold. Each Item has its own Weight value meaning that you can only carry a total Weight equal to or less than your current ENC.
11) Skill Points: This value is the number of Skill Points you may distribute in a number of Skills or Spells.
12) Stat Point: This value is the number of Stat Points you may use to raise the five basic Stats (STR, END, AGI, WIS, INT). After distribution of these points, you must click the 'Accept' button for your character's Stats to be updated. You may also 'Cancel' if you have placed your Stats incorrectly.
13) Attack Skill: This value determines your accuracy with melee attacks.
14) Dodge Skill: This value determines your ability to dodge physical attacks.
15) Archery Skill: This value determines your accuracy with ranged weapons.
16) Other Skills: Other Skills you learn will appear here. As more Skill Points are distributed into a Skill, that Skill becomes more effective.
17) Experience: The total amount of XP your character has gained since Level 1.
18) XP To Level: The amount of XP needed to Level up.
19) Karma: Determines how many pure or evil deeds your character has committed.
20) Macro: Displays the Macro screen.
21) X: Closes the Character Sheet. |
The following Stats are hidden:
Elemental Powers: These Stats increase the power of corresponding Elemental Spell types.
Elemental Resistances: These Stats decrease the damage of corresponding Elemental Spell types.
Fame: Your character in The 4th Coming has a set amount of fame in each city and town. These values increase as you meet certain requirements in the corresponding city/town. |

Your Storage Chest » |

Storage chests are located in all towns and cities. These chests are personal storage chests that only you may access. They are limited by ENC, so ensure that you only place your most precious Items. Gold may also be placed in there ensuring that, if you die, you will not only prevent losing Items, but you will also prevent losing Gold. |

1) Chest: This is where all of your stored Items are shown.
2) Inventory: You may place Items from your Inventory into your Chest, and the other way around.
3) Drop: By selecting an Item and clicking 'Drop', you will be prompted if you wish to Drop this Item on the ground.
4) Junk: By selecting an Item and clicking 'Junk', you will be prompted if you wish to Junk this Item. By Junking an Item, it is deleted from the server and cannot be restored.
5) X: Closes the Chest.

Character Movement |

Keyboard: You may use either the arrow keys or the number lock pad to move your character.
*Please note: Character movement on the number lock pad will only work if the 'Num Lock' key is set to off.
Mouse: You may move your character with the mouse by left-clicking the game screen and dragging the mouse in the direction you wish to move. You may also choose to move your character with the mouse by clicking an area or object (Monster, Item, Character, etc.) on the screen. |

*Please note: In order to send a message to a Selected Chat Channel, you must first select one from your Chat Channel list, which can be accessed by hitting a combination of the 'Ctrl' and the 'L' keys. Any messages sent to the 'Bugs' Chat Channel can only be seen by the SysOp.

1) Channel Listing: Lists not only Chat Channels that you have added, but also the default Chat Channels. Your Selected Chat Channel is highlighted with a lighter-colored background.
2) Channel Filters: These boxes determine whether or not a Chat Channel is being filtered. A green square indicates that you are receiving messages from this Chat Channel, and a red square indiciates that you are not.
3) Player Name: Contains a list of all characters within the Selected Chat Channel. Player Names which appear in white are receiving messages from that Chat Channel, and Player Names which appear in gray are not.
4) Title: Titles are optional descriptive headings earned by characters. By default, characters do not have any set Title.
5) Add Channel: When you click on this button, a pop-up box will ask you to type the name of the Channel you wish to add. If this Channel does not exist, it will be automatically created.
6) Remove Channel: You must first click on a Channel in the Channel Listing box. You can then click on this button to leave that Channel.
7) Filter Pages: Click on this button to ignore all Pages sent to you. Click on it again to receive all Pages.
8) Ignore Player: You must first click on a Player Character in the Player Names box. You can then click on this button to ignore all messages from that Player.
9) Remember Player: You must first click on a Player Character that you are ignoring in the Player Names box. You can then click on this button to remember this Player and receive messages from them again.
10) Ignore List: Click on this button to view the list of Players that you are ignoring. You may remember them by clicking on the Remember button.
11) X: Closes the Chat Center.

Macros » |

A Macro is a term used often to describe action shortcuts. When a Macro is binded to a key on your keyboard, you can save time instead of manually going through menus to accomplish your goal. You may access the Macro screen by hitting a combination of the 'Ctrl' and the 'M' keys on your keyboard.

1) Item: This column displays the names of the Items/Spells/Skills that you have chosen to Macro.
2) Key: This column displays the keys or combinations of keys that your Macros are bound to on your keyboard.
3) Spell Book: Click here to add a Spell to your list of Macros. The Spell Book will appear. Once there, select a Spell, then click on the Macro button.
4) Inventory: Click here to add an Item to your list of Macros. The Inventory will appear. Once there, select an Item, then click on the Macro button.
5) Character Sheet: Click here to add a Skill to your list of Macros. The Character Sheet will appear. Once there, select a Skill, then click on the Macro button.
6) Remove: To remove a Macro, click here first, then select the Macro you want to remove from your list.
7) Bind Minimized Macro: Select a Macro from the list, then click here to add it to your Minimized Macros box.
8) Unbind Minimized Macro: Select a Macro from the Minimized Macros box, then click here to remove it from that box.
9) Minimized Macros: Displays your chosen Minimized Macros.
10) X: Closes the Macro screen.

Binding a Macro to a key on your keyboard: On the Macro screen, double-click the Macro that you wish to bind to the keyboard. A window will open asking for keyboard input. The keyboard input that you do may be either a single key or a combination of a number of keys (ex: 'F3', 'Ctrl' and 'E', etc.). Clicking 'Accept' will bind that Macro to the keyboard. You may remove or change this Macro at anytime. You may also add Macros to the Minimized Macro box.
*Please note: Certain Macros have already been set and cannot be changed or removed. This is to allow for quick and easy access to the many in-game menus. |
